Core Modules
Sustainability and Organisations (15 credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to gain an understanding of sustainability in a complex organisational environment
Sustainability in a Global Context (15 Credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to explore the global issues of sustainability and sustainable development, with an emphasis on global conventions and the impact of stakeholder groups such as NGOs and civil society alongside the cooperative and competitive efforts of government and international corporations.
Strategic People Management (15 Credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to analyse and evaluate different perspectives on, and approaches to, the management of people to understand how effective people and/or talent management contributes to organisational success.
Strategic Management (15 Credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to explore how changes in the complex and unpredictable global, national and operational environment impact organisational decision making while critically examining how vital resources and capabilities are utilised to develop sustainable competitive advantage.
Organisational Development and Change (15 Credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to critically examine and reflect upon the complexities of organisational change, design and development. Students will develop insights to enable understanding, knowledge and skills for developing change.
Financial Analysis for Decision Making (15 Credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to appreciate the principles, scope and limitations of accounting information from the viewpoint of practicing managers and be able to evaluate financial data. Students should be able to hold intelligent discussions with financial partners and appreciate an overview of financial information without getting lost in the details.
Entrepreneurial Marketing (15 Credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to gain a critical understanding of the innovation processes for identifying and exploiting new market opportunities within established businesses and/or new ventures.
Leadership in a Global Environment (15 Credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to explore how their skills and attributes are informed by leadership and management theories, reflecting on practice when managing and leading people within an international and/or multi-cultural context.
Final Research Project
Final Research Project (60 Credits)
The aims of this module are to enable students to design and conduct an independent research project (either primary and/or secondary) with the intention of investigating and strategically enhancing an area of business relevant to their chosen degree pathway.
The entry requirements for the programme are:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a business or non-business-related subject area at a level equivalent to a UK second class Honours degree.
- Three years’ professional experience is required.
- For International applicants whose first language is not English, IELTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band), or equivalent.
- The school will consider non-standard applicants who can demonstrate that they have relevant (to pathway) work experience for a period of 5 years via a Curriculum Vitae and/or LinkedIn profile.
The supporting documents for the programme are:
- Bachelor’s degree (where applicable) at a level equivalent to a UK second class Honours degree.
- A reference letter from a current or previous manager or HR department or person in a position of authority is required as supporting evidence.
- Personal identification documents e.g passport or ID.
- A personal statement (approx. 3-500 words) and/or video presentation about why you want to study this programme.
- Proof of English Language Proficiency (POE) where applicable.
- POE exemption may be offered to students. Please speak to a Student Success Consultant to discover whether you are eligible for an exemption.
